Upon arrival Cairo international airport you will be met and assisted by one of our Representative at the airport who will escort you to your hotel. Rest of the day will be at your leisure.
Wake up and have your breakfast at the hotel before being picked up by our representative who will introduce your guide to you. (Pick up time will be provided to you by our rep on arrival day). Then drive to the Giza pyramids to see the great pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), the highest pyramid in Egypt and one of the Ancient World Wonders. Nearby also visit two other pyramids Khefren ( Khafra) which is the middle pyramid and Mecarinos( men Kaw Ra) the smallest. Enjoy the wonderful view of the three pyramids on Pyramids Plateau ending our visit to the area by visiting the most famous statue in the world Sphinx. (Optional Camel ride at the pyramids.)
Drive on to Memphis and Sakkara via the country side, watch farmers working in the field or riding donkeys to their land. Sakkara is the necropolis of Memphis where king Zoser built his pyramid, the first pyramid built in Egypt (step Pyramid). Visit the unique pyramid complex, you wont find anything else like it in all of Egypt. The area encompasses many pyramids and tombs mostly back to the Old and Middle Kingdom. Then drive to Memphis the first ancient Egyptian Capital to see the Statue of Ramses the II and the AL paster sphinx. Transfer back to hotel and overnight.
After breakfast you will transfer to the domestic airport and fly to Abu Simbel the most beautiful temple in the world. Dated back to Ramesses II it was dedicated to Re Horakhty, Ptah and Amonthe. The temple has an amazing history since being built by Ramesses II and then discovered by Belzoni in 1817. The temple has been completely dismantled and transferred to a higher location in the same area. Visit the Nefertary temple which was built by Ramsses II for his beloved wife. Fly to Aswan and escorted to your hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure.
Today you will have your breakfast in a Nubian house with a Nubian family. Whilst enjoying the local breakfast and famous Nubian handcrafts you can also make a henna tattoo if you would like.
Following breakfast we will ride a camel to visit the Monastery of St Simeon, then transfer by felucca to the Botanical Garden on Kitchener Island. Continuing by felucca we will reach Nobels Tombs. Some of these tombs are very well preserved and their colour and represents, the long conflict between Egypt and Wawat, Or Kush, which is the old name of Nubia: anything south of Aswan. You will enjoy your lunch in one of the most beautiful spots overlooking Elephantine Island.
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transfer to Embark in Your Cruise. Lunch on board then Start your tour by visiting the High Dam, the unfinished obelisk, and Philae temple. Philae temple was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. The temple was dismantled and transferred to this location through a huge operation lead by UNESCO to protect the monument from submerging under water caused by the construction of the High Dam. The temple was moved from Akhilica Island to the recent location which is higher than the old one. Afternoon tea on board of cruise and overnight
Sail to Kom Ombo and visit Kom Ombo Temple was dedicated to the two ancient Egyptian Gods Sobek & Harois. Continue sailing to Edfu where we will then visit the temple dedicated to Hours Bahedity, the most preserved Greco Roman temple in Egypt. Enjoy the legend of Isis, Osiris, Set and Houras which represents the victory of good spirits over Evil. The Story is wonderfully illustrated on the temple wall. Sail to Esna and Overnight
Breakfast on board then visit the West Bank.the Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings, where the tomb of Tut the Golden King was found by Howard Carter, Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Cross to the East Bank of the river and visit Luxor temple and Karnak temple. You will stay overnight on board. (Optional Sound and Light Show at Luxor).
Disembarkation After breakfast and Transfer to your hotel in Luxor
Breakfast at your hotel will be followed by a beautiful drive past farms to visit Dendera, situated on the west Bank of the Nile. The temple has a long history back to the old kingdom, Greco Roman Time. The most significant temple is for the Goddess Hathor. After visiting the temple you will be driven to Abydos one of the most important city in Ancient Egyptian cult. It is the city of the God Osiris, the God of the dead. The city witnessed the fight between evil and good as the God Site Killed his brother Osiris, cut him into pieces and scattered them on the River Nile. The head of Osiris landed in Abydous and was buried there. The well preserved temple is truly one of the highlights of the trip. You will return back to Luxor overnight at Hotel.
Following breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to Luxor airport and fly to Cairo. You will visit Old Cairo where you will see Synagogues, churches and Mosques. You will start your visit by visiting Ebn Tulun Mosque, the biggest mosque in Egypt. It dates back to the Tolunic period famous for its the unique design of the minaret. Next to the mosque is the beautiful Gair Anderson House. You will then drive into Old Cairo, the area encompass religious complex: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. You will visit the Hanging church (Elmuallaqa) which derives its name from its location on top of the southern tower gate of the old Babylon fortress. The Hanging church is the most famous Coptic Christian church in Cairo. You will also visit St Sergius and Bacchus Church, dedicated to two early martyrs and traditionally believed to have been built on the spot where the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus, rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. In walking distance from the Church lies one of the most important Synagogues (Ben Ezer). The Jewish people believe that the back of the temple is the spot where the coffer of the Prophet Moses, when he was an infant, was placed by his mother. You will return to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before a day trip to Alexandria, one of the most beautiful city on the Mediterranean Sea. The city was named after the Macedonian leader Alexander the Great who is considered the greatest conqueror. The city witnessed the most famous love story ever known, the Story of Cleopatra and Mark Antony. Alexandria lies on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and has great collection of the Greco Roman period. Visit many amazing sites in Alexandria before returning back to Cairo.
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel followed by being met by your guide and driven to the Egyptian Museum, one of the most fascinating museums in the world. The Egyptian Museum contains over 100,000 artefacts. Our Guide will take you on a wonderful journey through time as you feel and observe the greatest, most unique arts made by the ancient Egyptians. You will then visit the Citadel and enjoy the view of old Cairo from the top of the hill and visit one of the most beautiful mosques in Egypt. It was built by Mohamed Ali the Ruler of Egypt (1805-1842) and is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Turkey. You will end your day at the old market (khan El Khalili). Enjoy your time bargaining for shopping, enjoying drinking coffee and maybe even smoking a water pipe in a public coffee Shop. Our guide will provide you with lots of tips before you going to the market. Return to your hotel.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo international airport for your departure back home with wonderful memories and experiences to tell to your friends and family about. We wish you a safe return to your home or for the continuation of your holiday.
